Designed via Zipp’s “Total System Efficiency” (TSE) format, the 404 Firecrest Carbon Tubeless CL Disc Wheelset seamlessly blends aerodynamics, low weight, decreased rolling resistance and comfort to become the perfect choice for road races or efforts against the clock.
The full carbon rims are realised with a hookless tyre interface that helps to reduce weight and increase lateral stiffness. This hookless configuration has a 23mm wide internal measurement to increase the sidewall support of tubeless-ready tyres, allowing them to realise lower rolling resistance and better comfort at lower inflation pressures. The wider inner rim dimension also smooths the tyre-to-rim junction for improved aerodynamics.
The refined, 58mm deep profile of the rims combines with the ABLC surface dimpling to markedly lower drag and afford predictable handling when the wind blows hard from the side. The rims rotate around smooth spinning, well-sealed ZR1 DB hubs, with the rear utilising a 66-point freehub for rapid pedalling engagement. Sapim spokes arranged in a two-cross lacing pattern complete the build, ensuring durability and increased power transfer.
Please note: These wheels are ex-demo and have been lightly ridden. As a result, they do have some slight marks on the freehub. They are supplied without tubeless tape fitted or valves but are supplied with a manual and lockrings.
