SRAM developed PressFit 30 to take the strongest elements of BB30 and traditional PressFit systems and combine them into one refined and highly efficient bottom bracket solution. The result is a system that delivers excellent power transfer, reduced weight and improved durability while simplifying installation and long term performance.

PressFit 30 uses bearings housed in robust nylon cups that press directly into the frame bottom bracket shell. This design removes the need for threaded interfaces, improving frame stiffness and alignment while keeping weight to a minimum. An integrated sealing system is pre assembled into the cups, significantly extending bearing life and protecting against contamination in demanding riding conditions.

This version features ceramic bearings as standard for reduced friction and smoother rotation, paired with an alloy construction for strength and reliability. Designed for 30mm spindle cranksets, PressFit 30 requires a frame with a 46mm internal diameter bottom bracket shell. Included is a SRAM PressFit 30 to BSA adapter, allowing compatibility with frames designed around BSA standards in both road and mountain bike widths.
