Designed for riders running Shimano’s 12 speed MICRO SPLINE drivetrain, it provides fast engagement, strong construction and easy maintenance for reliable performance across both MTB and gravel applications.

Built around a 25 mm internal width aluminium rim, the MT601 is well suited to modern wide tyres, supporting 2.0" to 2.4" tyres for MTB while also working effectively with wider gravel tyres, giving excellent grip, stability and comfort on mixed terrain. The tubeless ready design helps reduce punctures while allowing lower pressures for improved traction and control.

At the centre is Shimano’s MICRO SPLINE freehub with 36 point engagement, providing rapid pick up for near instant power transfer when accelerating or climbing. The hub uses angular contact bearings, which cradle the bearing balls to support both radial and lateral loads, resulting in superior durability and smooth rolling performance in real world riding conditions.
