DT Swiss Ratchet LN Conversion Kit
The DT Swiss Ratchet LN Upgrade Kit allows you to convert compatible DT Swiss 3 pawl 370 hubs to the proven Ratchet freehub system, bringing a significant upgrade in reliability, engagement consistency and long term durability. Specifically developed for 370 hubs such as those found on DT Swiss 1900 series complete wheels, the LN system delivers the renowned DT Swiss ratchet performance in a dedicated platform.
Traditional pawl systems create relatively small engagement surfaces, leading to increased stress on individual contact points. In contrast, the DT Ratchet System engages both ratchet faces simultaneously, distributing load evenly across a much larger surface area. The result is outstanding reliability under high torque loads and a noticeably more robust drive feel.
The Ratchet LN system is also modular. The included 36 tooth ratchets provide a balanced engagement angle suitable for most riding styles, while optional 18 tooth or 54 tooth ratchets, sold separately, allow you to fine tune engagement to suit your exact preference. With over 25 years of continuous development, DT Swiss remain the original ratchet hub innovators, and their system is widely regarded as unmatched for ease of servicing, durability and mechanical precision.
Tool free servicing is a core part of the DT philosophy, making routine maintenance quick and straightforward, even mid ride if required. Please note this kit is only compatible with DT Swiss 370 hubs using the LN system and is not compatible with standard Ratchet or Ratchet EXP hubs. Installation requires both the HBDT835 Ratchet ring nut tool and the HBDT5266 Pawl ringnut tool, and DT Swiss recommend fitting by a qualified mechanic.
